This policy explains what data we collect when you use Meowtion, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to this policy. This includes data relating to optional skill-based challenges and prize competitions offered within the App.

We only collect the minimum data needed to run the App.
- Account & Contact Data: name, email (e.g., if you sign in or contact support).
- Health & Fitness Data (if you use workout features): activity metrics such as workout type, reps, duration, and performance stats.
- Purchase & Subscription Data: purchase tokens/receipts, product IDs, and status via Google Play Billing and RevenueCat (for subscription management).
- App Usage & Diagnostics Data: app actions, device model/OS, crash logs, and performance events (to keep the app reliable).
- Location: we do not collect precise GPS location; we may use general data like timezone, locale, and language settings to set defaults and show relevant content.
- Challenge & Competition Data: performance metrics (e.g., reps, streaks, rankings), submissions (e.g., image/video proof if applicable), and related metadata for determining results, enforcing rules, and awarding prizes.
- Payout & Reward Information: information necessary to deliver prizes (e.g., contact details such as your email address, prize type, and, if applicable, payment account identifiers), collected only if you participate in a prize challenge or win a reward. This may include data we share with third-party payout or digital gift card providers (such as Giftbit) so they can send you a separate email to choose and redeem your gift card.

- Provide and improve workouts, AI-powered guidance, and animations.
- Manage subscriptions, free trials, and receipts.
- Send essential service messages (e.g., account notices, payment issues, challenge notifications).
- Keep the App secure, fix bugs, and prevent abuse.
- Operate challenges, calculate results, determine eligibility, and award prizes.
- Detect cheating, fraud, or manipulation in challenge participation.
- Facilitate prize fulfillment, including sending your contact details and prize information to third-party payout or digital gift card providers so they can deliver rewards (for example, by emailing you a link to choose your gift card).

If you are in the EEA or UK, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the App and its core features (including workouts and challenges) that you request.
- Legitimate interests: for things like security, app improvement, analytics, and preventing fraud, in a way that respects your rights.
- Legal obligations: to comply with laws (for example, tax and accounting rules related to purchases and prizes).
- Consent: where required (for example, certain notifications or marketing). You can withdraw consent at any time through settings or by contacting us.
Sharing your data +−
We don’t sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers acting on our instructions, such as:
- Google Play Services / Google Play Billing (purchases, crash reporting).
- RevenueCat (subscription validation & entitlements).
- Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics (usage analytics, crash and performance monitoring).
- Third-party payout and digital gift card providers (for prize delivery), such as Giftbit, when we send them your email address and prize details so they can email you a link to choose and redeem your gift card or other reward.
- Payout and Prize Fulfillment Partners (only if you win a prize or request payout), such as payment processors or digital gift card providers. These partners may send you a separate email to complete redemption (for example, choosing a gift card). Your use of their services and any data they collect directly from you is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
- Fraud and Abuse Prevention: we may use automated or manual review to validate challenge submissions, identify suspicious activity, and protect the App and our users.
- Legal/Compliance: if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect users, our services, or our rights.
- Business transfer: in case of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the new owner, with notice to you where required.

Challenges & Competitions +−
Meowtion may offer optional challenges or competitions that are based on skill and are only available to eligible users (for example, adult users in permitted regions, as described in our Terms of Use). Participation is voluntary and free; no purchase or payment is required to enter or win, and no gambling or wagering is permitted.
If you choose to participate, we process challenge-related data (such as performance metrics, leaderboard position, and any submissions) to operate the event, determine results, display leaderboards, contact winners, and deliver prizes.
When a prize is fulfilled via a third-party provider (for example, a digital gift card delivered through Giftbit), we may share your email address and prize information with that provider so they can send you a separate email with a link to choose and redeem your gift card. The brands, currencies, and options available, as well as any expiry dates or redemption windows, are determined by that provider and may vary by country or time.
This prize-related data is used solely for prize fulfillment, fraud prevention, and legal compliance, in accordance with this Policy. Your direct interactions with the third-party provider (such as creating an account with them, if required) are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
We may verify submissions and take measures to prevent fraud or abuse (e.g., cheating, manipulation, or automated activity), which can include automated checks and manual review of suspicious activity.
Retention +−
- Account & workout history: kept while your account is active, or as needed to provide the App.
- Purchase records: kept as required for tax/accounting and legal obligations (typically up to 7 years).
- Crash/diagnostics: typically retained for 90 days or less, unless needed longer for security or troubleshooting.
- Challenge performance and leaderboard data: retained for the duration of the challenge and archived for audit, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention purposes.
- Payout and prize records: retained as required for legal, tax, and compliance purposes, which may vary by jurisdiction.
- We may keep aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be linked back to you after your account is deleted.
Your rights & choices +−
- Access, correction, deletion, export: You can email support@meowtionapp.com or use in-app account tools (if available) to request a copy of your data, correct inaccurate data, delete your account, or request a portable copy of certain data.
- Marketing opt-out: You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using unsubscribe links or app settings. We may still send essential service messages (for example, about your account, purchases, or prize fulfillment).
- EEA/UK: You may also have the right to object to certain processing, or to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children’s privacy +−
Meowtion is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn a child provided data, we will delete it.
We do not permit children to participate in prize-based challenges. Prize-based challenges are intended only for eligible adult users, as described in our Terms of Use. If we learn a child has attempted to participate, we will remove the participation data and prevent prize processing.
Security +−
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe and notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
International transfers +−
We may process and store data in countries outside your own, including where our service providers are located. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms, to protect your data.
Changes to this policy +−
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Effective date” at the top of this page. For significant changes, we’ll notify you in-app or by email where appropriate. If you continue to use the App after changes take effect, you agree to the updated Policy.
